Tehrik-e-Niswan's plays usually integrate dialogue and narrative with dance and music, traditional story telling techniques and conventions borrowed from the sub continental folk traditions of Yatra, Nautanki and Tamasha.

Tehrik-e-Niswan’s cast members include adept singers, dancers, musicians and designers lending the plays a vibrant energy.

Some of these plays have been landmarks in the history of theatre in Pakistan.
Anji”, “Yehan Say Shahr Ko Dekho”, “Aik Hazar Aur Ek Theen Ratein”, “Uss Bewafa Kay Shahr Mein” and “Zikr-e-Nashunida” are some of the plays that managed to create a stir amongst the audiences providing brilliant and exciting theatre by way of production, performance and design.
